You’ll be the gatekeeper for making credit decisions, using scoring models to determine credit worthiness and negotiating the terms and conditions of our lease transactions.
Description
The Credit Analyst prepares credit underwriting through financial statement analysis, credit investigation, scorecard matrixing, and exposure evaluation to decide on small- and mid-ticket credit applications. Other duties include structuring and negotiating approval terms and conditions of lease transactions; providing ongoing evaluation and tracking of portfolio quality through the lease review process; interacting with other team members, customers, and vendors on specific transactions and programs; identifying training needs; and providing training.
Qualifications
Education and other credentials
- BS degree in a business discipline, MBA and prior credit authority a plus
Experience
- Three to six years of credit experience in a bank and/or leasing company
- Experience in the Office Products, Healthcare, Technology or Graphic Arts industries.
Technical/Functional Skills and Knowledge
- PC software including Excel and Word
- Understanding of lease/legal documentation; terms and conditions of lease
- Understanding of financial statements, tax returns, cash flow analysis, projection analysis, industry/market credit research
- Knowledge of, and experience with, Uniform Commercial Code requirements
