From cheering on his favorite basketball team, the UConn Huskies--to closing deals in the fast-paced health care industry, Mike Sweeney loves action. He gets plenty of it at USXL, where he's in charge of building relationships with health care equipment dealers and medical professionals who need financing for the latest technology.
Mike has been in the leasing industry since 1981. Most recently, he served as president and COO of Coronet Funding, a privately held equipment financing company. Before that, he held leadership positions with Execulease Corporation and its successors, Anthem Financial and Newcourt Financial, as well as Anchor Financial Corp., MetLife Capital Credit Corp., and Manufacturers Hanover Leasing and its successor, CIT. Mike began his career as a credit analyst and commercial loan officer with Hartford National Bank (now Fleet), after receiving his master's in business administration from the University of Connecticut. He also earned his bachelor's degree from Long Island University.
At home in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he's lived for 22 years, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Carol. They look forward to visits home from
their daughters, both college students. Along with golfing at every opportunity, Mike builds and renovates homes. He has also served as a project leader for Habitat for Humanity, the global program for eliminating poverty housing.
